Varsity

Astros down Exeter

The varsity team was led by seniors Owen Murray (2 goals) and Dustin Beamon (1 goal) on their way to a 3–0 win Sept. 14 against Exeter.

Seniors Brian Kling and Chris Horan played well for Pinkerton. Astro senior Alex Horan earned his second shutout of the season.

JV

Pinkerton blanks Exeter

On Sept. 14, the JV Astros boys played their best game yet, beating Exeter, 2-0, at home.

Both corners were taken by Alex Ebner. He placed the ball perfectly inside the 18 to be finished off by Sean Donohue and the other by Kyle Hicks. Once again, a shutout was posted by goalies Tom Disking and Eric Werner.

Freshman

Young Astros blank Exeter

On Sept. 10, the freshman boys defeated Exeter, 5-0.

Goals came from Andrew Brochu, Jason Flood, Ryan Forkey (2) and Ben Curry.

Pinkerton downs Salem

The Astro freshman beat Salem, 2-1.

Andrew Brochu and Ben Curry scored the goals.

Astros on a roll

On Sept. 15, the Pinkerton freshmen shut out a strong Concord squad, 4-0.

Andrew Brochu had 2 goals; Hayden Pavao and Noah Davis each had one.

Devon Nordelus was terrific both defensively and offensively. John Durant and Stuart Graves were solid on defense.

Varsity

Astors lose a close one

The varsity Lady Astros and Exeter were 0-0 at halftime, but Exeter scored the only goal of the game with 20 minutes to play.

Emily Harris played well in net and the entire defense performed well.

JV

Astros blank Owls

Deleah Barker got her first goal of the season last week when the JV Astros beat Timberlane, 4-0.

Marissa Clark, Sheilagh Linehan and Allison Salema also each added a goal.

Hannah Smith played tough in the midfield, and Natalie Fabrizio and Deven Murphy led the Astros to their fifth shutout in five games.

Exeter hands Astros a loss

The JV Lady Astros lost their first game, 3-2, against Exeter.
