DERRY — On Saturday, Aug. 11, there will be a professional wrestling match to raise money for the Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham County.
The event, “Body Slamming Abuse,” will feature four professional wrestlers from New England: Moondog Max, aka John Walton from Derry, the Pharaoh, the Finhammer and
M.O.B. Mr. Mann.
It will have all the frills and action of professional wrestling and, at the same time, will raise money for the Child Advocacy Center.
The center helps child victims of abuse to be treated with dignity and care, and spare them further trauma while uncovering the abuse they suffered. The CAC serves abuse victims throughout Rockingham County. The event is put on by New Generation Wrestling, in conjunction with MDI, a men’s organization that is committed to ending abuse in all forms.
Tickets can be purchased online at newgenwrestling.com. Seats are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. If you hurry, for a higher fee, you can experience all the excitement of first or second row seats.
The event will take place at the SportsZone, 7 A St, Derry.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the opening bell at 7:30 p.m.
