LONDONDERRY HIGH SCHOOL
Co-captain Ana Milosavljevic was in the state tournament later this spring in both singles and doubles competition with her partner Cassie Burbine. She and teammates are worked hard to make the team playoffs.
Senior Matt McKinney came back from quite a deficit and showed such fight and determination to take a victory and earn the Lancers’ first point against the undefeated Bulldogs. Up to that point, they had a perfect season.
Brianna Ho is a big contributor in the long jump, is a member of the 4x100 relay team, and also runs the 100 meter dash. Brianna was also a member of the state championship team from last year.
Nick Winn is the only returning varsity player on the Lancer volleyball team. Nick leads the team in kills and serve percentage. He has shown tremendous leadership skills as this inexperienced team has improved by leaps and bounds over the course of the season.
Track and Field
At the LHS Invitational, Yorgelis Ortiz had three personal bests. She nailed the 200m dash and ran the third fastest time in Division I. She soared in the high jump to 5 feet 2 inches, her first time over that height. She was a part of the LHS quartet that raced the 4 x 100m relay and achieved the fastest time in the state to that point.
Track and Field
Jared Kane improved his personal record by over 5 seconds in the 1600m at the Londonderry Invitational. His time of 4:41.1 qualified him for the Division I Championship.
