LONDONDERRY — Participants in Londonderry Middle School’s Trail Walk/Run Race last week were an interesting looking group.
Many runners dressed in costume, giving a nod to Halloween just around the corner.
The Wellness Committee’s annual 2.3-mile challenge took participants from behind the middle school, through the trails behind the high school, around the kindergarten and back to the middle school.
There were acknowledgements for the team most represented, the grade level most represented, and the first runners and walkers to finish.
The $3 entry fee collected from each participant will be used to further the work of the Wellness Committee, a group that sponsors Wellness Day at LMS, snowshoeing, intermural tennis, volleyball, kick-boxing and jump roping among other activities to keep students moving and active.
