Lady Astros open with a win

The varsity Lady Astros traveled to Nashua on Dec. 7 for their season-opener.

Pinkerton started the season well by defeating Nashua North, 45-38.

Colleen Fortier and Kayla Stacy led the scoring. Sam Breslin was the floor leader and Brandi Bonneau got the most floor burns. Corina Moore was great off the bench in all aspects of the game.

Astros down Dover

On Dec. 11, the Lady Astros defeated host Dover, 62-44.

Val Martin scored 13 of her game-high 20 points in the third quarter to break the game open.

Sam Breslin had 10 points, Colleen Fortier 14, Kayla Stacy 7, and Brandi Bonneau 11.

Make that three in a row

The Lady Astros continued their winning ways Dec. 14, beating Winnacunnet.

The starting five, made up of Sam Breslin, Brandi Bonneau, Kayla Stacy, Colleen Fortier and Val Martin, provided balanced scoring and great full-court defensive pressure.

Skyla Gorman, Corina Moore and Courtney Collins did a great job coming off the bench.

Sara McLeman and Marissa Stacy scored their first varsity points in their young careers.


Pinkerton doubles foe’s score

The JV Lady Astros won their first game of the season with a 40-20 victory over Nashua South Dec. 7.

Sarah McLeman and Jaime Caron combined for 19 points.

Make that 2-0

The Pinkerton JV girls won their second game of the season Dec. 11 with a convincing 43-29 victory over Dover.

Marissa Stacy led the way with 11 points. Morgan Hazelton added 8 points.


Astros squeak past Spaulding

The freshman Lady Astros had their season-opener Dec. 10 at home against a tough team from Spaulding. They won, 24-21.

The Lady Astros played tough defense with Ali Davis, Olivia Mathieu, Brittany Gagnon and Bayley Scheibert being standouts on the defensive end.

Top scorer for the day was Kaitlyn Meskell with 10 points.

Young Astros stage comeback

The freshman Lady Astros traveled to Nashua on Dec. 15 to take on Bishop Guertin.
