Pinkerton shuts out Spaulding
On Sept. 6, the Lady Astros blanked Spaulding, 6-0, improving its record to 4-0.
Pinkerton’s goals came from Rebecca McGrath (2), Maura Kane, Maggie Cohoon, Haley Hicks and Andrea Galvin.
Katy Ann Grochmal, Caleigh Goode, Julie Murray, Gabby Guinto, Erin Coutts and Rebecca McGrath all had assists.
The Lady Astros had 22 shots on goal; Spaulding had none.
Another win for the Lady Astros
Pinkerton battled Bishop Guertin to a 5-0 win that was tougher than the score reflects.
The Lady Astros exploited speed and skill matchups with the Cardinals’ backs in outstanding couterattacks. Rebecca McGrath had 3 goals. Katy Ann Grochmal and Maggie Cohoon had one each.
JV Astros top Winnacunnet
The junior Lady Astros defeated Winnacunnet, 2–0.
The Astros’ first goal was from Marissa Clark, who hustled after a rebound from the goalie. The second came from a great outside shot by Sheilagh Lienhan.
The defense held strong for the whole game, making it their third shutout in three games. Hanna Smith had a great game in the midfield.
Pinkerton blanks Memorial
The JV Lady Astros beat Memorial, 7-0.
Sheilagh Linehan scored three goals in the first half. Grace Dipersio added two, one a header off a corner kick. Emilia Laliberte and Aeriela Thornton each scored a goal.
Astros shut out Spaulding
On Sept. 6, the JV Lady Astros defeated Spaulding, 3-0.
Tori Kort, Hannah Smith and Marissa Clark each scored a goal. Sarah Burgess and Deven Murphy played well in back.
Young Lady Astros triumph
The freshman Lady Astros hosted Memorial and came away with the 5-0 victory. Haleigh Caceres, Kyra Goucher and Johanna Morse each scored goals. Sara Mcleman played well in the center midfield.
Pinkerton settles for tie
The freshman team hosted Winnacunnet and ended with a 1-1 tie.
Johanna Morse scored the lone Astro goal. The entire team played well defensively, holding the Warriors to a few shots during the game.
