LHS athletes ‘Meet the Coaches’
LONDONDERRY — Londonderry High School athletic director Howard Sobolov has announced that the winter sports Meet the Coaches Night for winter athletes and parents will be Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. in the LHS cafeteria.
After the first part of the program in the cafeteria, all athletes and parents will have team meetings with their coaches in assigned classrooms.

Kids, join the ‘Hoop Shoot’
DERRY — The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Derry will host the “Elks National Hoop Shoot” Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 9 a.m.
The “Hoop Shoot” is a basketball foul-shooting contest open to any boy or girl between the ages of 8 and 13.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three shooters in each age group, with each age group winner advancing to district finals, and a chance to advance to state finals, New England finals and national finals.
There is no fee to participate. Each contestant will shoot 25 free throws, with the top scores advancing.
There are six divisions and three age groups: Boys 8-9, Girls 8-9, Boys 10-11, Girls 10-11, Boys 12-13, Girls 12-13.

DERRY — Pinkerton Academy hosts the boys basketball preseason New England Jamboree Saturday from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
The gym doors will open for fans at 2:30 p.m. People are asked to bring donations of nonperishable food or cash for the local food pantry. Admission is free. The snow date is noon Sunday.
This year’s jamboree will have some of the top teams from Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Final basketball clinic is Saturday
CONCORD — NHTI will host the final in a series of basketball clinics on Saturdays at the Wellness Center gym on the Concord campus Saturday, Dec. 7. The clinics are for boys and girls in grades 3-8 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
