The JV Lady Astros and lady lancers squared off Saturday and Pinkerton took the win, 3-2.

Maddy Lolicata had 2 goals for the Astros, while Kailee Robinson added the other goal. Bailee Freeman played good defense in the win.

Freshman

Young Astros come close

The freshman Lady Astros lost, 3-2, to North.

Sarah Norwick, Emma Bennet, Hailey Hicks and Camille Preble led the way offensively, helping to push the ball up the field.

Defensively, Jackie Guinto, Christina Giannopoulous and Naomie Marshall stepped up to help shut North down in the second half.

Astros roll over Salem

On Sept. 23, the JV Astros hosted Salem and dominated, 44-0. The win brings Pinkerton’s record to 2-1 overall.

Despite two touchdowns called back, Pinkerton rolled over Salem.

Tyler Gendron had a huge run of 75-yard touchdown run and Mike Curley and Matt Allard played well on both sides of the ball.

Freshman

Pinkerton defeats Londonderry

Cross-town rivals Pinkerton and Londonderry met during Mack Plaque events. The freshman Astros won, 44-8.

Playing well for the Astros were Christian Gendreau, Ryan Phillbotte, Matt Payan, Kyle Fortier and Nate Barnhart.

BASS FISHING

Astros don’t land finals spot

The Astro Anglers put forth a good effort on Thursday, but finished in the middle of the pack this time around and did not qualify for this year’s final.

Matthew Sullivan landed a respectable 2.45-pound large mouth bass.

Astros drop second straight

Pinkerton failed to capture a win for a second straight match, losing to Central, Bishop Guertin and Concord.

The Astros were led by sophomore Marshall Halpin, who shot a 5 over par 39.

JV

Pinkerton moves to 6-5

The JV Astro golf team traveled to Whipoorwill in Hudson Sept. 25 to take on Alvirne and Merrimack.

Final match results were Merrimack 218, Alvirne 241 and Pinkerton 242.

David Currier led the Astros with a 47; Keagan Nacos and Caitlin Menzie shot 48. The team now stands at 6-5 on the season.
