The Salem Saints Squirt 1 team beat Watertown Saturday, 5-1.
The defensive corps of Jon Last, Dylan Salvo, Aidan Breen, Steve Birch and Nathaniel Cohen played well, holding the opposing blue line and controlling the neutral zone.
Paddy Capsalis put up another strong performance in the net, turning away several strong scoring bids.
Landon Krekorian started the scoring in the second period and Mike Borrelli threw one home with one second left in the period.
Salem put it away in the third period with Aidan Breen, followed by Landon Krekorian and Michael Borrelli.
The Saint Squirt 2 team is keeping its unbeaten streak alive. They recorded a 2-2 tie against Agawam.
Goal scorers were Patrick Hare, assisted by Matt Diprizio and Ian Krikorian. Brandon Paiva was strong in the net.
The PeeWee 1 team had a light weekend with only one game on Saturday. They beat Concord Carlisle, 6-4.
The PeeWee 2 kids had a different ending to their game, losing to North Reading, 3-1, in a very close game.
Abigail Lagos had the lone goal, assisted by Joey Goudey.
The Bantam 1 team had two games over the weekend. They traveled to Boxboro on Friday to avenge an earlier loss to Acton Boxboro. The Saints controlled the game and came away with a 2-2 tie.
Their second game was a tough one at Merrimack College against Danvers, losing 2-1.
The Bantam 2 team suffered a 5-2 loss against Concord Carlisle on Saturday
The Bantam 3 team lost its match against Wakefield, 5-3, in a Sunday night game.
