Londonderry — Londonderry High School’s Basketball Booster Club, Dugout Club and Gridiron Club have combined to present the Lancers Basketball Golf Scramble at the Windham Country Club on Friday, May 10, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The event will directly benefit each LBBC, LLDC and LLGC and their collective scholarship programs.
There will be many great prizes and awards and on-course contests including: top two teams, hole-in-one awards, closest to pins, putting contest, long drive and more.
Each participant will receive a welcome bag with give-a-ways and banquet awards lunch will follow with several raffle items, 50/50 and some great auction items.
Early-bird entry fee is $125 per player (or $450 per foursome) if registered and paid by April 20, which includes cart, golf and dinner banquet.

Pinkerton scores in Hoops for Hunger
The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association and its member schools recently announced the results of the fifth Annual Hoops for Hunger Program.
The Hoops for Hunger program was created to challenge all NHIAA member schools to compete to raise money to benefit food pantries within each school’s community. High schools that participated collected donations during the boys and girls games during the 2013 basketball season.
The dollars raised at each school benefited local food pantries in the communities where the dollars were raised.
The NHIAA will like to recognize the top fundraisers within each division: Division I, Pinkerton Academy; Division II, Pembroke Academy; Division III, Winnisquam Regional High School; Division IV, Littleton High School.
The total raised for food pantries across the state was more than $8,090 this year.
Over the past five years, more than $44,800 has been raised for local food pantries through the Hoops for Hunger Program.
This program was seen as a way for the high school based athletic programs to give back to their communities and the state in these difficult times.

DERRY — Derry Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for the spring T-ball program.
Registrations are accepted through April 12 at the office, Veterans Hall.
Any child 4 to 7 years of age is eligible to play. A birth certificate is required at time of registration.
The program begins in May, with games and practices held twice weekly. The cost is $25 for Derry residents, nonresidents pay $45.

Adult baseball league seeks players
The Granite State Baseball League is looking for players to compete in the 2013 season. The GSBL was established in 1992 and is the premier amateur adult baseball league in New Hampshire.
Teams play 18 regular season games on Sundays starting in April, playoffs begin in August and the league hosts an annual All-Star Game.
There are currently 22 teams that compete in +21/+28/+38 Divisions.

Rule of Golf clinic costs $15
CONCORD — The New Hampshire Golf Association will be conducting a Rules of Golf clinic this spring for all those interested in improving their knowledge of the rules of golf.
The clinic will be held at Concord Country Club on April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A $15 fee is charged to defray the cost of lunch. Anyone interested should call John at 569-3471 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Space is limited.
