ICE HOCKEY

Astros lose close one

The Astros dropped a hard-fought game, 2-1, to Trinity High Jan. 31.

The game was played with a lot of intensity on both sides, but it was Trinity that was able to convert on a late breakaway to secure the win.

The Astros came out flying but could not get enough pucks on the Trinity net and ended the period down 1. There was no scoring in the second period.

In the third, the only offense the Astros could muster was a funny bounce on a dump in by Ethan Landry that beat the Trinity goalie to tie the game. The game winning goal was scored with just over two minutes to play.
