Roy's Cup raises $13,000 for scholarships

Hockey tournament benefits Samantha Smith Foundation

(Continued)

Team Public Service of New Hampshire, captained by John Franco, is the newly crowned Roy’s Cup 2013 Purple Division Champions.

Team New England Predators redeemed themselves this year by gaining their first win over Captain Bob Coco’s No-Icing Sports Team.

As far as the more competitive division goes, in the Pink Division, Chelby’s Pizza/Sports Arena Team, captained by Ken Roberge, was the odds on favorites to win it all this year.

This was a highly competitive division with the likes of Stump Chunks, M&R Wood Recycling and the snowed-in Plumbers. In the end, La Carreta/Primerica faced off against Atlas PMF (last year’s Purple division Champions) in a game for the ages, with Capt. Nick Therrien taking home the Roy’s Cup 2013 hardware.

The Samantha C. Smith Foundation raised more than $13,000 for Roy’s Cup 2013, which will be put towards scholarships. Check out Samantha’s website at scsfund.org.
