It’s a cross-town win

The JV Astros took on the Lancers Sept. 29 and won, 28-12.

Despite several turnovers and penalties, Pinkerton dominated the Lancers. Big plays by Lloyd Williams and Brett Datillo in second half helped seal the victory.

The JV Astros’ overall record is 3-1 for the season.


Young Astros are at 4-1

The freshman Astros improved their record to 4-1 by defeating Manchester Memorial Oct. 3 at home, 32-8.

Season ends at 19-11

The varsity Astros traveled to Exeter Country Club Oct. 2 and wrapped up the regular season winning two of three and finishing 19- 11 for the regular season.

Pinkerton was led by senior Matt Galvin who shot 5 over par-40.

Pinkerton will rest for the next week before taking on the other nine teams who qualified for the state tournament on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Canterbury Country Club.

Girls make their mark

Three girls from Pinkerton competed Oct. 5 in the individual State Championships.

The tournament was played at the Scottish Highlands Golf Course in Salem. Kaitlyn Lutinski placed second in the Championship Flight with an 81. Caitlin Menzie placed fifth in the Medal Flight with a 51. Micaela Griffin was forced to withdraw due to an injury after playing 9 holes.


Astros triumph in Keene

The JV Astro golf team traveled to Keene Oct. 1 to play a match against Keene and Nashua North. The Astros shot a season best 227 to come in first.

Josh Barton led the way with a season/career best score of 40. Jason Bing 44, Matt Hall 46, Caitlin Menzie 48 and David Currier 49 all contributed to the win.

The team finished the regular season with an 8-5 record.
