Cavaliers topple Astros

The JV Astros faced their toughest opponent in the Hollis Brookline Cavaliers. The Astros fought hard, but came up just short in the match. The scores were 22-25 and 22-25.

It was the best match the Astros have played all season against their strongest competitor.

The JV Astros played the Winnacunnet Warriors on Oct. 2. It was a tough match for the Astros. The Warriors came out on top, handing the Astros their fourth loss of the season.

The game scores were 17-25, 17-25 and 15-3.

Victoria Walder and Carly McDonough led the Astros in kills; Walder had 5 kills, while McDonough had 4. Sarah Hicks had 9 assists on the day, while Whitney Leyland had 3 assists.


Young Astros fall

The freshman Lady Astros fell to Hollis/Brookline Oct. 1, 15-25 and 9-25.

Caitlyn Leonard stepped up to make some nice passes on serve receive.

Tough loss for Astros

Although Lexi Ledger served great from the line for the Astros, the freshman team lost to Winnacunnet.

Sydney Sandell continues to show excellent leadership for the team. Game scores were 25-11, 23-25 and 10-15.

Freshman fall short

Pinkerton hosted Hollis/Brookline on Friday, 18-25 and 12-25.

Alivia Connors played well at the net with a few tips, blocks and hits.



It’s an Astro shutout

The varsity Lady Astros blanked Central, 4-0, last week.

Goals came from Kaylie DeCosmo (2), Julie Saltamartini and Sam Day. Jessica McCully, Sam Day and Laura Moran all had assists.

Abbey Doherty had 10 saves in net.

Blankety, blank, blank

The varsity Astros shut out Merrimack Oct. 2, 3-0.

Goals came from Haley Harrington and Gabby Guerard (2). Assists were from Jessica Cote (2) and Kaylie DeCosmo.

Jordan Dudley had 9 saves in goal. Haley Harrington and Jessica Cote played a fantastic, high pressure game for Pinkerton. Gabby Guerard played great in the circle.


Pinkerton rolls over Central

The JV Lady Astros got a big shutout against Central, 6-0.
