Red Sox DH Big Papi comes to Derry

DERRY — Baseball has started and Red Sox DH David Ortiz is coming to Derry Saturday, April 27, to sign autographs.

Big Papi will be at LaCarreta Mexican Restaurant, 35 Manchester Road, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly. An autograph costs $99, and inscription of three or four words costs $50. Mail orders are accepted.

Sign up now for classesto operate an OHRV

CONCORD — Summer is almost here, and Off Highway Recreational Vehicle education classes are underway across the state.

To operate an OHRV in New Hampshire, any person age 12 or older must have either a valid motor vehicle driver’s license or have successfully completed an approved OHRV Safety Education class taught by volunteer instructors trained by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.

Children younger than 14 must be accompanied by a licensed adult when operating an OHRV, unless they are on property belonging to their parents, grandparents or guardians.

There is no charge for the classes, which are usually completed in a single day. Visit wildnh.com/OHRV/schedule.html. New classes are added as they become available.

It’s time to sign up for Coach Rosinski’s camp

DERRY — Coach Rosinki’s Boys Basketball Camp will be held July 15-18 and/or July 22-25.

The camp is for boys ages 8 to 14, but also includes incoming freshmen, if they are older.

The full-day, four-day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $100 per week.
