Astros continue to bowl along

Varsity squad knocks down the competition

The Astros bowling teams competed against Merrimack, Biship Guertin and Souhegan at Merrimack Ten Pin on Saturday.

Pinkerton's varsity team captured the second seed by bowling standard games of 804 and 803 for a total of 1607.

Michael Komisarek rolled games of 157 and 187, and Whitney Leyland had games of 111 and 134.

Andy Stock was consistent in his games of 173 and 172. David Pierson shot games of 182 and 152, while anchor bowler Raina Stobbs scored a 181 and 158. Natalie Fabrizio joined the varsity team for the Baker matches.

The Astros varsity faced third seed Bishop Geurtin in Round 1 of Baker, winning in two games, 213 to 179 and 162 to 124.

In the second round of Baker, Pinkerton defeated fourth seed Souhegan in two games, 222 to 98 and a clean game (all marks) 192 to 146, taking first place for the day. Pinkerton scored 3 out of a possible 4 points for the day.

The Astros JV team was seeded second for the Baker match by bowling two standard games of 594 and 548 for a total of 1142.

Alexandria Albano scored a 111 and 87. Ritziko Linzi scored 120 and 110.

Brianna Murphy scored 81 and 90, Natalie Fabrizio 167 and 133, and anchor Jordan Caux bowled games of 115 and 128. Austin Caux bowled standard games of 155 and 147 and joined the JV team for the Baker matches.

The JV team lost its Baker match, finishing third for the day with games of 112 to 122 and 114 to 122.
