Beginning next week, the Derry News will announce its second annual Athletes of the Year. A male and female athlete from both Londonderry High School and Pinkerton Academy will receive the honor for athletic excellence during the 2006-2007 school year. On Wednesday, July 2, the honorees from Londonderry High School will be named in the Derry News sports pages and on Friday, July 4, the honorees from Pinkerton will be named.
