JV
Pinkerton Academy's JV golf team took its record to 3-0 Sept. 2 at a meet with Merrimack, Keene and Goffstown.
Tim Sheehan led the way with a 3 over par 40.
Sheehan was supported by two first-year players, Adam Sica and Eric Byrne, who shot 44 (7 over) and 46 (9 over), respectively.
Varsity
The Pinkerton Astros were second and the Londonderry Lancers third in a varsity golf match at Green Meadow Country Club Sept. 1, bringing the Lancers' record to 2-7.
Nashua North won with 196, followed by Pinkerton at 196, Londonderry at 197 and Timberlane at 205.
Chris Ugolini and Bobby Barrett led the Lancers, each with 38. They were followed by Matt Tobin and Taylor Simpson at 40, Nick Stone at 41, Jake Welch at 46, and Justin Renik and John McCarthy, with 47.
For the Astros, Kyle Dellorusso and Nick Salema each shot 37, followed by Ricky Priest with 39, Mike Greenlaw at 41, Andrew Wentworth and Eric St. Amand at 42, and Kevin Colbert and Ryan Ianuzzi at 45.

Boys
Varsity
Pinkerton's varsity boys team went to 3-0 on the young season Sept. 3 with a 2-0 win over the Timberlane Owls.
Coach Kerry Boles cited strong play from junior Alex Patrikis, senior Hayden Hicks and senior Dan Barker in the win.
Antonio Villavicencio scored the Astros' first goal with an assist from Trevor Carignan. Carignan scored the second goal on a penalty kick.
Goalkeeper Peter Siragusa had five saves for the Astros.
Junior varsity
The junior Astros dominated the Timberlane Owls Sept. 3, 6-1.
Owen Murray had two goals for Pinkerton. Kyle Cherboneau, Andrew Borges, Matt Dunn and Connor Johnson each scored goals.
The defense played very well. The win brought the JV team's record to 3-0.
Girls
Varsity
Londonderry Lancer Lydia Simmons pumped in three goals, Aliza Simpson added a goal and two assists, and Alexa Bedell scored once as the Londonderry girls soccer team whipped Spaulding Sept. 2, 5-0.
Catie Lewis and Meghan Rimol also had assists for the Lancers.
Kelsey Derhak had eight saves in the net.
Junior varsity
The junior Astros beat Timberlane Sept. 3, 4-2, bringing the team record to 2-0.
Despite a slow start, the young Lady Astros dominated the second half of the game.
Sam Breslin had two goals; Alex Callen and Maggie Cohoon had one apiece.
Field hockey
Junior varsity
The juniors Astros moved to 2-0 on the season Sept. 4 with a 2-1 win over Manchester Memorial.
Julie Saltamartini and Jenna Beaulieu scored for Pinkerton. Marie DiPersio had an assist.
The coach said Ali Deyett and Cassie Morin exhibited "great hustle."
Varsity
Pinkerton junior Jordyn Hamilton scored with 1:05 left in overtime on a gorgeous reverse sweep shot to give Pinkerton a 3-2 win over Manchester Memorial Sept. 3 in field hockey action. The play came off a corner from Nicole Pacheco.
"Not everybody can do that," coach Denise Rioux said of Hamilton, who is being wooed by a slew of top colleges.
Junior Katelyn Erhardt led the Pinkerton defense.
Brittany Hawkins and Kara Parhiala also scored for the Astros, and Parhiala had an assist.
Gina Rosinski had 11 saves.
Football
Junior varsity
The JV Astros topped Timberlane, 8-6, in overtime Saturday.
Matt Madden, Mike Thomson and Zack Daigle played well for Pinkerton.
Volleyball
Freshman girls
Pinkerton's freshman girls beat Winnacunnet Sept. 3 in volleyball action. The freshman Astros won the first game, 25-16, lost the second, 16-25, and won the third, 15-14.
Amanda Joncas, Noelle Theirault, Carrie Hough and Maggie Mulrennan had great passing and serving.
