The preseason Fitness/Conditioning camp will be Aug.4-8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pinkerton Academy’s track. The Fitness/Conditioning is open to any/all athletes who are planning to try out for an athletic team. It is not sport specific.

Roller derby league gears up for 2014
MANCHESTER — New Hampshire Roller Derby, the state’s first all-female flat track roller derby league, is gearing up for its 2014 season. Before the season opener on April 12 at the JFK Coliseum, its A travel team, the Skate Free or Die All-Stars, is hosting a roller derby disco night with Manchester’s Social 24 Sports Lounge.
The Social 24 fundraiser is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at the lounge, 24 Depot St., Manchester.
NHRD has also launched a crowd funding campaign to help pay for a new PA system. A goal of $4,000 has been set. Visit gofundme.com/69fhgo to donate. NHRD is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Women, learn how to hunt turkeys at workshop
CONCORD — Women who want to learn how to hunt turkeys can get the basics by signing up for the N.H. Becoming an Outdoors-Woman “Introduction to Turkey Hunting Workshop” March 22. The one-day workshop will be held at the Owl Brook Hunter Education Center in Holderness.
Participants will learn about wild turkey habitat and behavior, shotgun handling tips, scouting, calling, safety and ethics, plus how to clean and care for your turkey.

The cost is $55, which includes lunch. This is an introductory class. No hunting license is required, and there will be no live firing.
