DERRY — There was plenty of snow and sunshine Saturday for the third annual snowshoe walk at Broadview Farm on Young Road.
Derry’s Go Green Committee hosted the event at the town-owned property.
Experts offered tips on using snowshoes and accompanied participants on walks around the 78-acre conservation property.
In addition to great weather and plenty of snowshoeing, participants enjoyed a bonfire in the foundation left by an old silo and snacks.
Anyone who missed out has another chance to check out all that snowshoeing has to offer.
On Saturday, as part of the Frost Festival, the Granite State FFA Association will host a 5K snowshoe race at J&F Farms on Route 102 in Derry.
Money raised through this event will support agricultural students across the state, including those attending Pinkerton Academy.
The races begin at 11 a.m. Mini races and open snowshoeing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
