Astros split at meet

This past weekend, the Astro wrestlers returned to competition,with meets against Nashua South and Timberlane at Timberlane. They completed the day with a resounding, 56-9 victory over South, and were very competitive with a tough Timberlane squad in their 51-26 loss.

Recording multiple victories on the day were sophomore Dylan Barreiro and seniors Hunter Morris, Nick Messina and Kevin Ell. Derek Wilson, Shayne McCann, Keegan Nacos, Eric Daigle, Derek Low, Danny Villa, and Brett Wilson all recorded single victories.

Lancers tromp Salem

The Lancer wrestling team defeated Salem on senior night, 60-16.

Winners for Londonderry were: Jon Young, Will Bean, Kyle Byrd, Sebastian Roszczenko, Richard Bilodeau,Tim Wilson, Tyler Byrd, Ryan Cabezas, Mitch Rose and Jean-Luc Lemieux.

Londonderry takes first

At the Winnacunnet Tournament Feb. 1, Londonderry won its fourth tournament of the season with 216 points, over second place Nashua North and third place Manchester Central.

Londonderry place finishers were: Tyler Byrd (106 lbs.) third; Ryan Cabezas (113 lbs.) second; Mitch Rose (120 lbs.) first; Jean-Luc Lemieux (132 lbs.) first; Collin Reardon (138 lbs.) fourth; Jake Barr (145 lbs.) second; Jon Young (152 lbs.) second; Will Bean (160 lbs.) first; Sebastian Roszczenko (182 lbs.) second; Richard Bilodeau (195 lbs.) second; and Mahdi Achab (220 lbs.) second.



Astros keep on rolling

The Astros competed against Goffstown, Raymond and Sanborn at Spare Time in Manchester Saturday.

Pinkerton captured the first seed by bowling Standard games of 773 and 812, for a total of 1585. Michael Komisarek rolled games of 150 and 198. Whitney Leyland had games of 119 and 103. Andy Stock had games of 155 and 153. David Pierson bowled games of 176 and 173 ,while anchor bowler Raina Stobbs scored a 173 and 185. Jordan Caux joined the varsity team in the Baker matches.

The Astros faced fourth-seed Saborn in round 1 of Baker, winning in two games, 155-101 and 154-98. In the second round of Baker, Pinkerton defeated third seed Raymond in two games,172-137 and 160-135.
