Pinkerton falls to Belmont

Pinkerton’s reserve team fell to Belmont, 12-10.

Ally Benway-Fongemie made 23 saves. Amanda Thomas had 3 goals and Kristen Crowell had 2. Natalia Fournier, Erin Glynn, Ashley Grandstorff, Kasey Salter and Jam Aboulgassem each had a goal.



Owls blank Astros

The varsity Astros fell to Timberlane, 3-0. Senior captain Andrew Herlihy threw 6 innings, striking out 6, while allowing 5 hits and one earned run.

Senior captain Matt Marchman, junior captain Nate Rossi and sophomore Ryan Day led the offense with a hit apiece.

Spaulding defeats Astros

The Pinkerton varsity got off to a fast start behind junior Nate Rossi’s first inning solo home run, but Spaulding was too much for the Astros to handle.

Junior Chris Gerossie picked up the loss, going 3 and 2/3 innings. He allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. Tom Diskin, Matt Marchman and Connor Donahue all finished with a hit apiece in the 12-2 loss.

Big win for Pinkerton

The varsity Astros defeated Exeter, 10-2. Connor Donahue led the Astros on the mound, going 6 innings and allowing only two hits while striking out 15 and giving up no earned runs.

Donahue and Matt Marchman sparked Pinkerton’s offense with 3 RBIs apiece. Nate Rossi had 3 hits.

Astros lose in extra innings

Despite a great pitching performance from Andrew Herlihy, the Astros fell to Merrimack, 4-2, in extra innings. Herlihy went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 5 and getting a no decision.

Tom Diskin led the Astros offense with 2 hits.

Close, but no cigar

The varsity Astros hosted undefeated Concord and fell, 2-1. Ryan Day and Connor Donahue each had 2 hits to lead the Astro offense. Rick Casey got the start for Pinkerton, going 4 innings and allowing only 1 run.

Salem triumphs

The varsity Astros could not support starting pitcher Connor Donahue as he went 6 and 1/3, allowing 2 earned runs on 8 hits while striking out 7 against Salem.
