The freshman Astros took on Winnacunnet and, despite struggling for most of the game, a 4-goal rally in the fourth quarter proved to be enough as they won, 8–6.
Carter Young and Matt Webber played well offensively, while Jake Burnham turned in a good performance in net.
Lady Astros dominate
The varsity Lady Astros scored 10 goals in the first half against Salem and added 5 in the second for the 15–3 win.
Erin Coutts had 3 goals (2 assists), Kennedy Daziel with 4 goals (1 assist), Maggie McCarthy had 4 goals (1 assist), Michaela Cappozzo had 2 goals (2 assists), and Michelle Barrett and Kristen Sobolewski each added a goal.
Sarah Lambert had 1 save; Julia Hoyt had 5 saves.
Astros come from behind
The varsity Lady Astros trailed the Bedford Bulldogs at the half, but pulled out a 12-9 win.
Erin Coutts had 3 goals and Kennedy Daziel had 2. Maggie McCarthy had 3 goals and 2 assists. Jacquie Johnson added 2 goals. Micaela Cappozzo and Amanda Szostak each had 1 goal.
Sarah Lambert started the game in net and had 17 saves. Defense was led by Chevy Collins with 3 caused turnovers and 1 interception. Jess Cote had several key draw controls to give Pinkerton key possessions in the second half. Maddison Driscoll and Ali Deyette controlled their assigned players and Melanie George provided substitution relief with solid play.
Pinkerton rolls over North
The varsity Lady Astros jumped out to a 4–0 over North and did not look back. Jacquie Johnson had 3 goals (2 assists) and Erin Coutts had 4 goals. Kennedy Daziel had 2 goals (1 assist), Maggie McCarthy had 5 goals (1 assist), and Sierra Sanchez added 4 goals (1 assist).
Micaela Cappozzo had 2 goals, and Amanda Szostak with 2 goals and an assists. Michelle Barrett had an assist. In net, Sarah Lambert started and had 3 saves. Julia Hoyt had 1 save. The efense was led by Jess Cote, Maddison Driscoll and Chevy Collins.
