Blue Hawks down Lady Astros

The Lady Astros dropped their first match of the season April 15, a tough, 6-3 decision to the Lady Blue Hawks of Exeter.

Freshman Samantha Barros kept the Astros from being swept in singles with a win at Number 1. Barros also teamed with senior Julia Janigian for an 8-6 win at Number 1 doubles.

Senior captains Brenna McNally and Rebecca McGrath bounced back from singles losses with a solid, 8-5 victory at Number 2 doubles.

Lancers hand Astros a loss

On April 18, the Lady Astros suffered their second loss of the season, a hard-fought, 7-2 decision to the Lady Lancers of Londonderry.

Pinkerton senior Rachel Charewicz earned the Astros’ lone singles win at Number 6. Sophomores Hayley Harrington and Krista Mastrogiacomo gave the Astros a win at Number 3 doubles.

Pinkerton improves

The Lady Astros upped their record on the season to 6-2 April 19 with a 6-3 decision over the Lady Crimson Tide of Concord.

Freshman Samantha Barros continued her impressive play in sinlges with a win at Number 1. Senior captains Brenna McNally and Rebecca McGrath had solid victories at Numbers 2 and 3. Senior Rachel Charewicz gave the Astros a 4-2 edge after singles play with a win at Number 6.

Pinkerton loses, 9-0, to Exeter

The varsity Astros fell to 2-3 with a loss at Exeter. Sophomore Josh Gaudette had a good showing, losing his Number 2 singles match in a tie-breaker.

Astros even up

Pinkerton’s varsity evened its record to 3-3 with a 6-3 victory over Merrimack.

Sophomore Jack Bisson and junior Sean Hall both had come-from-behind wins in the victory.

Lancers top Astros

Pinkerton’s varsity tennis team fell to 3-4 with an 8-1 loss to Londonderry.

Astro sophomore Jack Bisson got Pinkerton’s lone point with an 8-1 victory at Number 6 singles.

Astros take Blue Devils

Pinkerton’s varsity scored 3 in each the first and second quarters against the Salem Blue Devils. The Astros added 7 in the third on their way to the 14–2 win.
