The girls came out in their light blue Van shirts. They played a hard game against a very talented Bedford team.

Brenna McNally had superb game against Bedford, firing 21 service points of which 15 were aces. Maddie Neidlinger dug up 9 balls. Amanda Stikeman added 12 assists.

Lady Astros top Crusaders

On Oct. 12, varsity Lady STROS WENT to Manchester to take on Memorial.

Courtney Collins led the way with a powerful 14 kills and 3 blocks.

Brenna McNally added 19 digs. Kelsey Cummings also added 19 digs.

Maddie Neidlinger had 10 service points as the varsity beat the Crusaders, 3-1.

JV

Astros hold off Bedford

On Oct. 11, the JV Lady Astros lost the first game to Bedford, 23-25. They won the second game, 25-22, and won the third game,15-12.

Olivia Mathieu, MaryAnne Tompkins, Michaela Blackwell and Brittany Capozzi were all outstanding with their blocking and kills at the net.

Fay Harrington and Elizabeth Hicks did a great job of setting up outside hitters Erica White and Jill Tonello, who were able to come through with many kills.

The Astros’ back row was also exceptional with the play of Nicole Langlais, Kate Garrison and Cheyenne Wright.

Junior Astros top Memorial

On Oct. 12, the JV Lady Astros won all three games against Manchester Memorial, 25-18, 25-15, 15-5.

Fay Harrington had 9 assists, 3 kills, and 2 aces. Elizabeth Hicks had 11 assists.

Michaela Blackwell had 5 aces and 2 kills. Brittany Capozzi had 9 kills on the day. Mary Anne Tompkins had 3 kills, as did Olivia Mathieu.

Erica White and Jillian Tonello were great from the outside with 4 kills apiece. Cheyenne Wright, Kate Garrison and Nicole Langlais were stunning in the back row.

Freshman

Frosh fall to Nashua South

The freshman Lady Astros dropped one to Nashua South last week, 3-0.

Two of the games were very close and the Astros played well in defeat.

Evan Duval and Miranda Rossignol served well with Evan earning 10 points (4 aces) and Miranda 8 points (3 aces). Brenna Thibodeau, Maggie Gildea and Maddie Prevost each had great digs.
