The defense of Cody Gadsby and Brad Dubisz stifled any chances Bishop Guertin tried to create. The Astro boys were dominant in every aspect.



Lady Astros lose to Bedford

Pinkerton got on the board first against Bedford Oct. 10 with an unassisted goal by Rebecca McGrath.

However, Bedford scored the next three goals as the Astros dropped the game, 3-1. Pinkerton put a lot of pressure in the last 20 minutes but could not find the back of the net.


Jr. Lady Astros roll on

The JV Lady Astros earned their 11th win in 12 games last week, topping Bedford, 3-1.

The Astros started off strong scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes. Mackenzie Anderson got the first one off a direct kick and Grace DiPersio added a second goal shortly after on a nice cross.

A little later in the half came two penalty kicks, one for each team. Sheilagh Linehan scored for the Astros, and DeLeah Barker almost saved Bedford’s shot.

Lancers, Astros tie

Pinkerton and Londonderry settled for a tie after double overtime, 0-0.

The Astros had more dangerous chances, but couldn’t seem to finish. Lady Astros Aeriela Thornton and Marissa Clark played well up top and created some chances for the Astros.

Natalie Fabrizio, Sabrina Thomas, Sarah Burgess, Deven Murphy, Allison Salema, Mackenzie Anderson and Shaylee Tetrault all played strong defense, keeping Londonderry off the scoreboard.




Pinkerton tops the pack

On Oct. 9, the Astros traveled to Exeter to race against Exeter, Keene and Spaulding.

Chris Poggi placed first (15:39), Pat Chabot was second (15:39), Sean Kopetz placed third (15:51), Connor Kwiecien was fifth (16:01), Joe Poggi finished sixth (16:04), Phil Parent was seventh (16:13), and Nick Pietrocarlo came in eighth (16:14).

The Astros had the low score of 17 for the win.

Astros place second

The varsity Astros traveled to Pelham on Saturday to run in the Pelham Invitational meet.
