High school athletes prepare for the season

DERRY — Spring sports are warming up at Pinkerton Academy, warming up a bit faster than the weather.

On Saturday, the Astro varsity boys lacrosse team was busy fine-tuning their skills and getting in shape for the season ahead.

Head coach Brian O’Reilly put players through their paces to get ready for some upcoming scrimmages.

The varsity Astros officially start their season on Monday, April 8, with a season-opening game against Concord High School. The action begins at 5 p.m. on Pinkerton’s football field.

Then, Pinkerton squares off against the cross-town rival Londonderry Lancers April 11 at 4 p.m. in Londonderry.
