Help Sonshine and enjoy some hockey

Join supporters of the Sonshine Soup Kitchen at the Monarchs' game Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m.

The Monarchs will take on the Albany Devils.

Since 1989, the Sonshine Soup Kitchen has focused on being an interfaith community project to reach out to individuals and families who are struggling to live independently.

Sonshine's support comes via community volunteers and donors. Eight dollars from each ticket will go toward Sonshine Soup Kitchen's fundraising efforts.

Gold-level tickets are $25, silver-level tickets are $20.

Sign up now for soccer camp this summer

DERRY — Varsity Soccer Academy director Kerry Boles has announced summer soccer camp dates. The youth week (for ages 7 to 13) will take place during the week of July 16-20 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The high school week (for grades 9-12) will take place during the week of July 23-27 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Both camps will be held at Gilbert H. Hood Middle School. The camps are open to all boys and girls from Derry and the surrounding towns.

During the week of July 30-Aug. 3, Varsity Soccer Academy will offer the annual Fitness Camp from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pinkerton Academy.

This camp is open to all athletes, regardless of sport, and will assist each athlete who will be trying out for a high school sport.

Basketball clinic set for vacation week

DERRY — The SportsZone will be hosting a Winter Break Day Camp and a Winter Break Basketball Clinic during school vacation week, Feb. 27-March 2.

Take the family out, go ice fishing Feb. 25

CONCORD — Looking for an outdoor activity that the whole family can enjoy this winter and won't break the bank? Join the fun as the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's "Let's Go Fishing" Program presents on-the-ice fishing instruction on Saturday, Feb. 25, on Northwood Lake at the boat landing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The clinic is open to anyone, however, those 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. This free clinic does not require reservations.

All equipment will be provided. No fishing license is needed to participate.
