CONCORD — Get set for the fall hunting and fishing seasons at a giant outdoor Sporting Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive.

Admission is free. Hosted by Fish and Game and sponsored by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, the event celebrates National Hunting and Fishing Day in New Hampshire.

The expo will feature all things related to hunting and fishing through exhibits, demonstrations, activities and more. Under the big tent, Expo visitors will have a chance to check out the latest hunting and fishing products and services displayed by more than 50 product manufacturer representatives.

These will include a wide range of hunting gear and accessories — from guns to decoys to scents and calls — as well as fishing products. A demo and display area will feature an archery range; pointing dog and retriever demonstrations; duck and goose calling lessons; taxidermy exhibits; and fly-tying demonstrations. The state-record buck and "Forever Locked" moose exhibits will be there to admire. A food concession will be available.

More than 50 raffle prizes will be offered at the Expo, including a Thompson/Center Arms 2010 "Impact" muzzleloader, Genesis bow, a guided pheasant hunt for two, a meat grinder/sausage maker, plus an ATV gear bag, Nikon binoculars, three sessions of dog training, Dan's "N.H. Dozen" flies, a Kershaw Echo Camo knife, gift certificates to Dick's Sporting Goods, canoe/kayak rentals and more.

The drawing will take place at 2 p.m. Raffle proceeds will benefit the work of the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, the nonprofit partner of the N.H. Fish and Game Department, which supports critical fish and wildlife conservation and education programs.
