The SportsZone will host a six-week fall offensive skills basketball clinic for boys and girls age 8-16 to help prepare for the school and travel seasons. The clinic takes place on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon starting on Oct. 2. Athletes can participate in both days or just one. The SportsZone will host basketball leagues for boys and girls divisions in grades three/four, five/six, seven/eight, and high school varsity and JV starting the second week of September and ending right before the season begins. Teams and individuals accepted. There is also a men's fall basketball league starting Monday, Sept. 22. There will be four divisions, with each division holding about 20-plus teams. Haverhill Senior Baseball is accepting registrations for its fall baseball program. HSB will be entering teams in the fall league run by Play Ball of Salem, N.H. The season runs for six weeks commencing Sept. 6-7. There will be a division for players who have just graduated from Little League and will be playing on the regulation diamond for the first time. There will also be a middle school division as well a high school division. The Northeastern Lady Panthers AAU basketball club will be hosting tryouts for the 2008 fall ball season on Sept. 6. All tryouts are held at the Rockingham Athletic Club located at 175 Plaistow Road in Plaistow. There is a $30 tryout fee for all teams. Teams will be formed in all age groups beginning with 10U to 17U. All abilities are encouraged to try out. 10U, 11U and 12U tryouts begin at 9:30 a.m., 13U at 10:30 a.m., 14U at 11:30 a.m., 15U at 12:30 p.m. and 16U/Elite at Teams 1:30 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Contact Michele Oliver at info@neladypanthers.org. DB's Fall Baseball League for ages 6 to 18 is beginning registration. You may register as an individual or with a team. During the season, one practice and two games will be held per week. Ages 6/7, 8/9, and 10-12 will play Saturday mornings at 9 a.m.; ages 13 and 14 will play Saturday afternoons; ages 15 and up will play on Sunday mornings. NHTI is seeking an assistant men's soccer coach for a position that begins immediately upon hire. The Derry Soccer Club is looking for players interested in joining the Derry Eagles Girls U13 team. Players born between Aug. 1, 1995, and July 31, 1996, are eligible. The Derry Soccer Club provides professional training in the fall and spring through the British Challenger Organization. The team will compete in the Granite State Youth Soccer League, playing two tournaments in the fall and two in the spring.
