Astros Eek Out Win Over Storm
Derry scored the winning run on a close play at the plate in the bottom of the 9th and the Astros clipped the Nashua Storm 11-10. The Storm scored 4 in the top of the 9th to take the 10-9 lead, but Derry came back with 2 in their half of the inning. Kevin Gray homered, doubled, and drove in three runs for the Astros.
Braves Win, Chaisson gets the W on the mound
Jeremy Chaisson got the win as the Braves beat the Storm 13-5. Pete Sirois also pitched four innings of strong relief for the save. Norm Boisvert gave the Braves the lead in the 4th and Mike Brown broke it open for the Braves. Jeremy Chaisson and Chris Parmenter got on base in each of their 4 at bats.
Rockies end season with Win over Merrimack
The Hollis Rockies (14-3) finish the regular season holding on for a win over the Merrimack Brewers (9-9) by a score of 8-5. TJ Sheedy pitched 5 innings to earn his third win of the season and also went 3-3 at the plate. Ian Wilson hit his league leading 4th home run and pitched the last inning to notch the save. The Rockies and Brewers will face each other in the opening round of the GSBL playoffs starting Saturday.
