April 25, 2008 07:00 am Boys Lacrosse Brian Elliot, Kevin Kent, Cameron Cote and Mike Dixey all had strong games as the Pinkerton JVs steamrolled Yarmouth, Maine, 12-1 to remain undefeated.
Alex Desrosiers struck three times as the Pinkerton freshman team beat Concord 11-3. Josh Lewis added two goals for the Astros. Baseball Bird electric in tough loss Derek Bird punched out seven batters over six innings, but the Pinkerton freshmen fell to Winnacunnet 8-7 behind the Wildcats' five-run seventh.
Joe Boucher threw four innings without allowing an earned run, but the JV Astros were no-hit by Spaulding, and fell 8-1.
Jon Zurwell drove in a pair of runs as the Pinkerton freshmen lost to Souhegan 10-6.
Corey Clark pitched well in relief, but Nashua South downed the Pinkerton freshmen 6-2. Softball Murphy stars in loss Shannon Murphy pitched well for the Astros JV team, but they eventually fell to Spaulding 7-1.
The Pinkerton freshmen scored 13 runs over four innings, but still lost to Winnacunnet 17-13. Girls Lacrosse Werner nets hat trick Sam Werner netted three goals as Pinkerton JV beat Yarmouth, Maine, 12-1. Diana Kraus and Ali Bartolotta played well in net for the Astros, who improved to 4-2. Girls Track Astros strong at JV meet Kristy Parhiala, Jordon Doherty, Carrie Kolbeck and Rachel Stilling were part of the winning 4x400 relay team at the freshmen-sophomore meet at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, Mass. Doherty also placed second in the 200.
