Bands are a big part of the parade

You can’t have a parade without music and Derry’s holiday parade is no exception.

There will be lots of holiday music along the parade route.

Two of the most popular bands are from Pinkerton Academy and Londonderry High School. Young musicians will step sharply and play loudly to get the crowd in the mood.

Expect to see other bands, too, including the Gilbert H. Hood marching band and the New Hampshire Police Association Pipes and Drums.

Be sure to clap loudly when all the musicians pass by.
