November is almost over and the holidays are in full swing.
It’s time to reach out and help those who are struggling this holiday season.
The best gift might be a donation to the Derry News Santa Fund, helping hundreds of families and individuals every year in the Greater Derry area to bring a happy holiday to those needing it most.
For more than 30 years, the Santa Fund has worked with the Derry Community Fund to bring holiday joy to people in need.
Area schools, churches, businesses and other organizations are taking the reins to collect money, host special events and make a difference in the lives of so many people.
No donation is too small to help. It takes an entire community to come together to make the season bright.
Money collected goes to support the Derry Community Fund and Londonderry charities as well, helping those who may be struggling due to illness, unemployment, or other life circumstances that seem out of control, especially at this time of the year.
The Derry News will publish information in the weeks ahead on ways to give this season around the community whether it be through money, clothing, or food.
Consider giving to the Santa Fund this year. Tax-deductible donations may be mailed to: Derry News, 46 West Broadway, Derry, 03038 or dropped off at the news office.
