Support Coyle for county commissioner

To the editor:

Because it isn’t the biggest part of our local tax bills, no one pays much attention to the management of Rockingham County. But over the years the county’s budget has grown to almost $80 million a year. Inattention and business as usual are becoming very expensive.

Fortunately, Kevin Coyle has stepped forward to offer to serve us as a county commissioner. We in Derry have come to know Kevin as a man of integrity who watches out for the interests of the taxpayers. We are lucky to have someone with his knowledge, ability and experience run for this important position.

In the upcoming primary please join me in voting for Kevin Coyle as county commissioner.

It’s time to

To the editor:

Derry residents can register to vote or request changes to your voter record every day that the town clerk’s office is open. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. except lunch and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. except lunch. That’s a lot of chances to register instead of waiting for voting day and having to stand in line for who knows how long!

Also, by law, we have sessions of the supervisors of the checklist and you can come in then to our office, Room 104 of the Town Hall, and register or request changes. Currently, we will be having a session on Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Of course, if there is a large turnout we will stay later. With the numerous hours that the town clerk is open, we find that most people register with them and then we enter the records and changes.
