The Sweet Tooth Life

"This Library runs on chocolate." The Chester Public Library's Board of Trustees served me this piece of delicious information during my April interview for the library director position. Melissa Rossetti said the same thing during my first day as director-in-training. I probably gained about five pounds consuming chocolate candies, cookies, and cakes that staff and the trustees brought to the library during my first week.

This article should be about books to assist you with controlling your chocolate intake. I definitely need to read such titles. However, I have a sweet tooth that dominates my life. Instead of providing some diet and exercise titles, I'll share some great chocolate-flavored resources available within the Chester Public Library's collection that will satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you cool for the summer.

An easy creation for ginger lovers is the Ginger Chocolate Chuck Ice Cream recipe available in Chocolate by Lora Brody. The Chocolate Bible by Christian Teubner has a scrumptious Milk Chocolate Cream Dessert. The Mrs. Fields I Love Chocolate! Cookbook has a mouthwatering Chocolate Porcupine Bombe recipe that requires a good amount of work, but pays excellent dividends to lovers of chocolate mouse and chocolate chip ice cream. Our catalog at www.chesterlibrary.com will provide additional titles containing chocolate recipes. You may also search our online access to EBSCOHost MasterFile Premier, a database containing articles from numerous mainstream magazines. Chester Public Library cardholders may call us at 887-3404 for instructions to access EBSCOHost.

Although I may find myself gaining weight working at the Chester Public Library,

I'm very excited to be your new library director. I'll do my best to continue to provide the warm personable service that Melissa gave to Chester. Please feel free to stop by the Library to give me your opinion about our services.
