There was a Hotline post here last week regarding our Police Department and so-called morale issue. It is obviously a disgruntled employee that wrote in. It is hard for me to understand why a person working and constantly complaining about their job, supervisor and fellow workers doesn't just get a job somewhere else. We know Chief Ed Garone has been in this position for 30-plus years and he is of retirement age and some are antsy to get his job, but it is his right to remain there as long as he wants and is satisfactorily performing his duties. The derogatory remarks regarding our chief are as of right now unfounded and should not have been made. Until there are actual facts it is best to refrain from damaging a person's reputation. This also illustrates the negative attitude of some regarding the DPD and the chief. Quite honestly, if I were the chief and had to work in an environment with this type of chatter, I would be firing people.
This guy, McCulloch needs to get a life and stop harassing the Cristallos over their chickens and ducks. I have seen the Cristallos' coop for their birds. It is well-built and clean and quiet. The McCulloch home is several hundred feet away on another street. If I could not smell the coop standing right in the Cristallos' yard; how does this unhappy, disgruntled man living a good distance away find reason to complain? He must be one of these special people who was put on earth just to make the rest of us feel harassed and miserable, kind of like Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol."
