Amy E. Hills, 91, died on Friday, February 3, 2012, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson.
She was born in Nashua, NH on July 19, 1920, a daughter of the late Waylan and Nettie (Smith) Elwood. She was the wife of the late Richard Hills.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed for many years at a J. F. McElwin Shoe Factory in Nashua, Doehla Greeting Cards in Nashua, and then at the Apple Orchards in Londonderry.
Mrs. Hills held membership in Londonderry Grange, as well as helping out at the Nashua USO. She loved cats and going out to eat with family and friends, especially at her favorite restaurant, Avandi’s, in Londonderry.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Hills of Litchfield; brother, Bill Elwood of Londonderry; several nieces and nephews; as well as her close friend’s children, Joseph and Daniel, who affectionately referred to her as “grandma.”
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 12 Noon to 2 PM at DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock Street in Nashua. A Funeral Service in her honor will be celebrated immediately following the visitation, 2 PM, at the Funeral Home with The Reverend Douglas Rickard officiating. Friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in the spring.
