Londonderry, N.H. — Donna R. (Cate) Murphy, 67, of Londonderry, N.H., died Monday October 22, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 24, 1945 in Laconia, N.H., a daughter of the late Arba and Frances (Churchill) Cate. Donna was a graduate of UNH with a bachelors degree in nursing. She worked as a nursing supervisor at Catholic Medical Center, retiring after 35 years of dedicated service. She loved to travel around the world and spending time at her camp on Silver Lake. She also enjoyed playing Yahtzee. She will be missed by her beloved cats, Victoria and Monte Carlos.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory M. Murphy; three daughters, Cathryn Faulring and her husband Peter, Amy O’Brien and her husband Thomas, Suzanne O’Gara and her husband Shawn; one son, Michael G. Murphy; one daughter-in-law, Paula Murphy; numerous grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Freeda Berry; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother David R. Cate.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours were Wednesday, October 24 from 5-7 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
