Nashua, N.H. — Richard E. Porter of Nashua, N.H., died on Tuesday, October 2 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, N.H. after a courageous five-month battle with cancer.
Rich leaves his wife, Susan Porter of Nashua; son, Gregg Porter and his partner Wenda Kochanowski of Chelsea, Mass.; daughter, Kim Gilbert and her husband Jason of Hillsboro, N.H.; daughter Amy Porter of Portsmouth, N.H.; step-daughter Christine Donlan of Pepperell, MA; and brother, Gary Porter, sister-in-law Mary Porter, and nephews Jesse and Joshua Porter of Derry, N.H.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, October 7 from 1-5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Nashua. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rich's name to the Home Health & Hospice Care Community Hospice House (www.hhhc.org) or to the Mass General MGH Fund (give.massgeneral.org). Both of these organizations provided Rich with excellent care, for which they are deeply grateful.
