DERRY, N.H. — Carol A. Rousseau, 57, of Derry, N.H., died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, in her home.
She was born in Lawrence on March 13, 1953, a daughter of Walter and Lillian (Corriveau) Abovitch, and had been a resident of Derry for the past one-and-a-half years, formerly living in Windham, N.H. She had been employed as a supervisor at the MSPCA in Methuen for 23 years, and more recently as a cashier for the Hess Gas Station in Salem, N.H. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1772 in Rochester, N.H. She enjoyed crafts, beading, gardening, loved her dogs, and her grandchildren, especially her grandson Dylan.
She is survived by her son, Ted M. Rousseau of Derry; her daughter, Laurie A. Rousseau of Northwood, N.H.; two step-daughters, Lisa Dean of Lowell, and Kimberly Richards of Wilmington; as well as five grandchildren, Haylie Rousseau, Dylan Rousseau, Lillian Dean, Krystal Rousseau, and Thomas Dean.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
