Los Gatos, CA — Geraldine (Geri) F. Forsyth, originally from Derry, N.H., (Pinkerton Academy ‘63) and a resident of Los Gatos, Calif., passed away on April 5, 2013, after a courageous battle against uterine cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gerald Frederick (Fred) Forsyth (Pinkerton Academy ’62); her daughters, Rachel Forsyth-Tuerck of Dedham, Mass., and Stacey Forsyth Protas of Louisville, Colo.; two sisters, Jean Davis of Manchester, N.H., and Barbara Cote of Derry, N.H.; and five grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Amelia, Noelle, and Benjamin.
Always active and social, Geri became an integral part of each new community in which she lived. She was a passionate volunteer for The Butter Paddle, a volunteer-run gift store that benefits EMQ FamiliesFirst, an organization that helps children with behavioral health challenges.
Smart, upbeat, and organized, Geri knew how to make things happen and accomplish what she set out to do. Geri had a kind heart, a warm personality, an inviting smile and a willingness to help others, whatever the task. She was a world traveler, tennis player, gourmet cook, gardener, avid reader, as well as a loving wife, mom, and Nana. Her style, grace, and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be a memorial service celebrating Geri’s life at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 219 Bean Avenue, Los Gatos on Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, she has requested that any donations be made to the EMQ Auxiliary/The Butter Paddle Children's Fund, 33 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos, CA 95030.
