Manchester, NH — Harriet Marcoulier (Schaefer), born Jan. 19, 1922, in Greenbush, Minn., died peacefully on December 7 at Villa Crest Nursing Center, Manchester, N.H. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, William Marcoulier (Chief Senior Master Sgt. USAF) and five siblings. Delores Haughtvedt of Greenbush, Minn., is the last living sibling.
Harriet leaves four children, Renee Despres (Gibbs) of Londonderry, N.H., Timothy Marcoulier of Peabody, Mass., Karen Houser of Benzonia, Mich., and Cecelia Marcoulier of Breadford, Maine; and also five great-grandchildren.
Harriet served this country as a USAF wife nearly 30 years, worked at the Bangor Maine State Hospital and as a LPN at the Rockingham Country Nursing Home, Exeter, N.H.
She enjoyed painting nature scenes, gardening, cooking and crocheting 30-40 hats for nine years for MI kindergarten classes and Mom's Place (CMC Hospital), Manchester, N.H.
ARRANGEMENTS: After cremation, Peabody Funeral Home will transfer Harriets remains to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
