Plainville, CT — Phyllis A. Wells, 83, of Plainville, Conn., died Monday, July 1, 2013, in the Touch Points at Farmington in Farmington, Conn. She was born in Cambridge, Mass., on August 30, 1929, a daughter of the late Daniel Delaney and Mary O'Neill Delaney. She had been a resident of Plainville since 2006, formerly living in Derry, N.H., and Londonderry, N.H., for most of her life.
She is survived by four sons, Walter J. Wells, III of North Carolina, James J. Wells and his wife, Mae Grace, of Manchester, N.H., Steven J. Wells and his wife, Christina, of Mt. Airy, Md., and John J. Wells and his wife, Christine, of Plainville; two daughters, Marsha Irvin and her husband, Don, of Belmont, N.H., and Mary Villemaire and her husband, Rick, of Weare, N.H.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, David Delaney and his wife, Mary, of Somerville, Mass.; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Wells, Jr., who died in 2005.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours were held on Wednesday, July 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry.
