Derry, NH — Sonja Emma Marlowe, of Derry, N.H. passed away on June 4, 2013, to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on June 19, 1924, to Peter and Emma Courossi, now deceased, as is her brother, Roy Courossi.
She graduated from Reading High School, Reading, Mass., in 1941. In high school she was a cheerleader and captain of her basketball team.
She was a champion golfer and played most of her adult life. She was artistic in many mediums and her paintings grace many homes. She loved her gardens and was an avid reader.
She was married to Boston radio and television personality Bill Marlowe, also deceased.
Before retiring she worked for many years in the fashion industry.
Sonja is survived by her sister, Margit Ceccacci of Reading, Mass.; her three daughters, Leslie Pickard of Arizona, Lisa MacDougall of New Hampshire, and Lynda Marlowe of New Hampshire; her five grandchildren, Michelle, Nikole, Bradley, Steven and Stefanie; six nieces and nephews; and five great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Gary MacDougall.
A special thank you for all the love and support from her niece, Tina, and two granddaughters, Michelle and Nikole, that helped us through this.
