Derry, NH, formerly of Malden, MA — Grace Marie Moulaison, 86, a longtime resident of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Grace was born in 1927 in New Jersey, the daughter of Gilbert and Grace (Nutter) Dodge. At an early age she moved to Malden, MA, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Malden High School. Soon after high school, she married Salvatore Zammutto, but tragically Salvatore passed away at the age of 24. Grace was lucky enough to find love again, and a few years later she married Joseph A. Moulaison. The two shared 54 years together until Joe’s passing less than a year ago.
Grace had a great love for music, and enjoyed playing the piano as well as the accordion. She was a sweet, compassionate person, and was very fond of animals.
Devoted mother of Candace Doherty and her husband, John, of Charlestown, Rosemarie Mazzola and her husband, Angelo, of Medford, Linda O'Leary of Malden, Diane Caci of Melrose; her late son, Anthony Zammuto and her late son-in-law, Daniel O’Leary. Proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 6. Loving sister of the late William, John, and Richard Dodge.
Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Friday, Feb. 7, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Derry. Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
