Derry, NH — Andrew W. Boulay, 65, of Derry, N.H., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 23, 1948, in Derry, and was a son of the late Archille “Archie” and Florence (Sullivan) Boulay. Andrew owned and operated the Shute’s Corner Country Store in Derry for 15 years with his wife Karen. In recent years, he worked in maintenance for the Grinnell School in Derry. He was an avid runner, and was known around town for always running with his dog. He enjoyed gardening, being outside, and just tinkering around the yard. Andrew will always be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Karen J. (Moynihan) Boulay, of Derry; two daughters, Amy Rose Jose of Derry, and Rebecca Boulay of East Derry; one granddaughter, Abigail Jose; one grandson, Daniel Keith Jr.; two brothers, Daniel Boulay of South Carolina, and James Boulay of Georgia; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and by his sister, Rose Hatch.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 27, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Caregivers of Greater Derry, 58 East Broadway, Derry, NH 03038, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710.
