Moultonborough, NH — Fred L. Tinkham of Moultonborough, NH, died May 23, 2012 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, in Lebanon, NH, surrounded by family.
He was born in Putnam, CT., son of the Late Fred S. and Lydia W. Tinkham. He grew up in Windham, NH, attended Nashua High School.
After completing his service in the Air Force in 1963, Fred joined the family Real Estate Development Company (Tinkham Homes). From 1965 to 1983 Fred served as site supervisor for more than 400 single-family homes including areas known as Arrowhead Estates in Londonderry and Windham, Tinkham Estates in Londonderry, and Barkland Acres in Derry, NH. He also was site supervisor for a 195 unit apartment complex in Londonderry, NH (Woodland Village).
In 1974 until present he was actively involved in the family Real Estate Business (Tinkham Realty, Inc.) in Londonderry, NH selling properties throughout all of New Hampshire.
Fred was a member of St. Mark’s Lodge 44 in Derry, Scottish Rite Bodies-Valley of Nashua as a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the NRA. He was also a member of the national, state, and local association of Realtors for over 30 years.
Fred’s biggest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren, always with a pocket full of candy. He just recently enjoyed a wonderful family vacation. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, go karting, and boating with grandchildren, and various winter sports as well as woodworking, and finish carpentry.
Family members include his daughter Tammy (Tinkham) Smart and husband Mark of Sandwich, NH, son, Fred L. Tinkham, Jr. and Christi Bourassa of Moultonborough, NH; sister Judy M. Tinkham of Windham, NH and brother John D. Tinkham of Derry, NH and several grandchildren whom he adored and spent much time with.
ARRANGEMENTS: There were no calling hours. Private graveside services were held May 29, 2012.
