Harold Moynihan, 86


E. Derry, NH — Harold Moynihan passed away May 20,2012 at the age of 86, leaving his wife Barbera (Gallien) Moynihan to whom he was married 65 years as of May 31,2012.

His first year of schooling was in E. Derry and then moved to Derry schools graduating from Pinkerton Academy.

After marrying he moved back to E. Derry where he built his own home on Floyd Rd, living there for 50 years before making a permanent move last year to Crystal River, FL. He was a World War II veteran flying 44 missions as a tail gunman. After leaving the service he joined the Army Reserves where he put in 34 years doing drill insturcting to new recruits followed my Military Occupations Specss ( MOS) instruction. He worked for First National stores for 30 years spending most of them in Derry and then was transferred to Boston working in lost prevention.

His love for sports included skiing, tennis, fishing and hunting which he taught his two boys, who were always first in his mind. He was proficient in diving and an expert swimmer and for excercise he would swim the perimeter of Beaver lake. He was predeceased by his oldest son Craig, in 2008 at the age of 56 from cancer who had one son named Jack. His youngest son Gary lives in Crystal River, FL and his two children a daughter Nikki and a son Shane. Harolds two sons knew they had hit the lottery having such a terrific dad. He leaves one brother, Tom Moynihan and his wife Janice of Derry.
