Londonderry, NH — Charles J. “Chip” Horwath, 72, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, in the Greenbriar Terrace, Nashua, NH. Chip was born in Allentown, PA, on November 29, 1941, a son of the late Charles and Claire (Flammer) Horwath. He was a graduate of Liberty High School, later graduating from Moravian College, both in Bethleham, PA. He earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Chip served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1959 to 1965. He retired in 1996 from FHA/HUD where he worked as a real estate appraiser. As a hobby, he enjoyed everything about working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Gina M. (Gregor) Horwath of Londonderry; his son, Jesse G. Horwath of Malden, MA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey L. Horwath.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Route 3, Boscawen, NH.
